WHAT MAKES YOUR OC TICK MEME

This here little written meme-journal entry-thing is not going to ask you what your character looks like. It is not going to ask what your character's favorite color is. It's not even going to ask what your character would do if cupcakes fell from the sky. This, my friends, is going to put you to the test--just how developed is your character. Does his/hers/its psychological build make sense and fit together? If your character isn't that developed, then I hope this helps.

a) Use as many characters as you please.
b) If you're a big freak about staying in character, I'd recommend that YOU answer. Not your character/s because, let's face it, not all characters would spill their beans.
c) You don't have to tag anyone, but it's highly expected.
d) Don't worry too much about grammar--this is development. Not an English test.

Section 1: The Basics

1a. What is your character's full name?  
Akilina Levana

1b. Was it their parents that named them that? If not, who?
No, she gave herself that name upon reaching humanity. Her parents gave her another name, but it requires a beak to pronounce.

1c.Is there a special meaning behind the name?
Akilina means "Eagle", and Levana mean "The Rising Sun"

2a. How old are they now?
She looks 21 but she is actually 147

2b. When were they born?
She was born on February 2,1864

2c.Where were they born?
Mt. Everest, China

3a. What's their race? Human, vampire, furry? Hybrid of some sort?
She's a Demon. Her main element is Holy.

4a. Where do they stand on the social pyramid? (e.i.: Royalty, middle class, living in poverty, etc.)  
Currently, she is temporarily exalted to a status equal with her race's royalty (those on their pilgrimage are gifted this status so that  any of their kind they meet on their travels are required to give any and all resources required to aid them) but she is normally low class.

Section 2: Lifestyle

1a. Do they have a/n job/occupation? What is it?
She is in a new sector of the military for demons and humans known as DAMMED.

1b. What motivates them to keep doing this job?
She is determined to grow stronger by any means possible. She has wandered the world for a few decades now and she still has yet to make any real progress in her quest. She sees this as her last chance to make herself better and is willing to do anything in order to be allowed to bond with a human.

1c. What job would they rather have?
She would rather be out changing the world with her Holy powers, but she knows that she must practice first and has thus offered herself up to the DAMMED program.

2a. What are their religious views?
While Akilina was travelling the world she discovered Christianity. She admired the ideas of saintliness, redemption, heaven, the savior, and other facets of Christianity. Whenever she visited a city she would always put away time to fly up into the rafters of some local church and listen to the Pastors preach. She has taken teachings from every sect of Christianity and simultaneously holds them all in regard while owing no true alleigence to any specific branch.

3a. What have they accomplished? When?
In her mind, not enough, but she has successfully survived traveling the world alone for decades, offering healing to those in need along the way.

4a. Are they apart of any organizations?
She is in D-A-M-M-E-D (hopefully)

5a. What do they do in their free time?
She loves flying above the clouds or just sitting in the sun in her human form. She often practices her abilities or meditates on sunny days and engages in sculpting on rainy days or at night.

Section 3: Psychology

1a. Describe their basic personality.  
Akilina has a very determined, rigid personality. Her specie's society was a rigid caste system which her father taught her to always respect. She has taken these teachings with her into her new world, being ridiculously obedient to those she sees as even slightly superior to her (unless they prove to be incredibly incompetent) and completely baffled whenever those she sees as below her don't immediately comply to her orders. This makes her a rather poor debater as she will only do so with those she sees as completely equal to her (which likely only consists of her partner and other recruits she doesn't know very well yet). But when she does interact with her "equals" she is a rather quiet and polite woman who comes across as rather timid.

2a. What part of their personality really stands out? If any part?
Aside from the above, the fervor to which she is determined to be the next savior of the world, an idea implanted into her by her misunderstandings of multiple sermons.

3a. How do they view life? Are they an optimist? Pessimist? Realist? Idealist?
Rather the Idealist. She is determined to be the next great saint who will go out and save the world, and she is rather obstinate about that idea.

4a. When it comes to making a tough decision, do they rely on thought or feeling? Faith or fact?
An odd combination of feeling and fact. She is rather logical when it comes to compiling and analyzing data, but once she has done so her feelings take over and just lead her to a decision.

5a. Do they have a sense of humor?
Not really. She has a good sense of humor and can recognize a good joke when she hears one, but her timid personality around equals and no-nonsense personality around "non"-equals leads her to not employ it very often.

6a. What motivates them to keep moving?
Her desire to change the world and her memories of her past failures.

7a. What do they desire from life?
To "bring light to the world". (I think I have said this already...)

8a. What are they afraid of?  
Complete and total darkness and she has minor claustrophobia.  

9a. Are they superstitious about anything?
She is always convinced that there is something lurking in the dark, but otherwise...not really.

10a. What secrets do they keep, if any?
She is willing to divulge anything to her "superiors" and her whole life is a secret to her "inferiors" just because she doesn't feel like her life needs talking about with them. She is very trusting of her "equals" and willing to share most anything with them. the only thing she doesn't talk about is how she came to be an orphan, she will only share that with her partner.

10b. How well are these secrets kept?
She always is depressed when the subject of her parents come up and if specifically asked how they died she always sputters and makes up an obviously-fake lie, but she has yet to reveal how it actually happened.

Section 3: Mental Abilities

1a. What can/cannot they do mentally? (e.i. IQ, certain school subjects, mental/emotional health)  
She is rather intelligent, but her poor eyesight and hearing makes it very hard for her to understand the questions.
   
1b. What are they strongest at?
Flying and healing. She is actively determined to improve her ability to warp light, but as of yet, she has made little progress.

1c. What are they weakest at?
Budging in her ideas, adapting to new situations, swimming.

2a. What do they like to do?
Sculpting, flying, and feeling sunlight.

3a. What do they hate to do?
Read, write, debate.

4a. Were they educated?
She learned about her species formally from her parents, but her knowledge of the "outside world" is restricted to what she could gather on her travels.

4b. If so, did they enjoy it?
Both are bittersweet. She enjoyed learning from her parents, but the memories are painful(cause she doesn't like thinking about how they died), and she enjoyed watching the world but is sad she couldn't do more to change what she was watching.

4c. For how long?
Her parents taught her for a few decades(short by their race's standard) and she watched the world for a bit longer.

Section 4: History

1a. Did they have a good childhood? A bad one?
She was content. Her parents were in a low caste but were actively trying to struggle their way up the social ladder with minor, but actual, success. She didn't have a lot, but she was content with what she had. Then her parents died when she was still young and she became an orphan raised by all of her parents numerous friends, all of them doing what they could. She didn't drop down the ladder, but she remained distant for a long time, before reaching what would be around 15 for her race, when she decided to stop sulking and actually do something with her life.

1b. What do they remember the most about it?
Her parents, and the years after she decided to change the world somehow.

2a. What were/are their teen years like?
Her early teen years are a blank to her as she has little memories of when she was sulking, but after she was reinvigorated she really enjoyed the feeling of having a purpose.

3a. What have they had to struggle to accomplish?
Getting the willpower to return to her emotions.

4a. What do they regret the most, if anything?
Not being able to save her parents.

5a. How did they end up on their current path? Was it their choice?
When one of their race comes of age, they are sent out on a pilgrimage to learn of the world beneath the clouds. They are given a temporary status equal to that of royalty and made to wander the world for what would be 6 years equivalent to humans. It was during this time that she stumbled across some DAMMED operatives gathering demons for containment. She had heard of DAMMED and the story of the first man to bond with a demon many times over her decades of traveling and she saw this as her last chance to grow stronger. So she came forward and let herself be captured by the operatives and is now trying her hardest to be good enough to be allowed to bond with a human.

6a. Did anything serious happen that changed them forever?  
Her parents death, and her comeback many years later.

Section 5: Family

1a. Who are their parents?  
Her mother was a sculptor of moderate success, and her father was the one who traveled, miles if necessary, to get her familiar and exotic materials for her work. Together with her mother's talent and her father's unique materials, they were gaining more and more fame within their society, even gaining the notice of royalty. Then they died.....the end |D

The same as her...

2a. Do/did they have any siblings? How many?  
She has a few step-siblings due to her adoption, but she has always seen herself as an only child.

2b. Are they still alive?
Yes, but she couldn't tell you all of their names.

3a. Where did the family originate?
Her kind live on the peak of Mt. Everest, above the clouds.

3b. How has it changed from the last generation to the current?
They have started to become less secluded, as the pilgrimages are a relatively recent practice (by demon years) and the first demons are starting to trickle back with their tales of the outside world.

Section 6: Relationships

1a. What do other people think of them?  
Her people (before she left on her pilgrimage) saw her as sort of that odd kid you find fun to watch but don't really want to be friends with. She didn't talk to anyone for years and then suddenly turned into a super-determined, super-energetic person determined on changing the world, so that is kinda understandable.

2a. What is their sexual orientation?  
She's technically straight, but nunnery is one of the things she picked up from Christianity and has recently sworn to be single. We'll see how well that works out.

3a. Are they involved with anyone romantically? Who?  
Nope.

3b. What do they like/love about this person? What do they dislike/hate?  
Who?

4a. Do they have a best friend? Who?  
Not really. She is very close to her community as a whole, but she can't pick out one specifically as her friend. And she hasn't stayed in any one place during her pilgrimage to make any friends there.

4b. Why are they best friends?

5a. Do they hate anyone? Does anyone hate them? Who?
She dislikes shadow demons, but she is willing to let each one prove itself individually. She hasn't really pissed off anyone.

Section 7: Extra

1a. Is there anything else important that you have to share about this character?
She's kinda blind, and half deaf. The air around the peak of Mt. Everest isn't thick enough to carry sound well so hearing is less important, and she kinda FEELS light rather than sees it. That ability will be explained in the app when I finish it.
